The Design Process
In our first meeting I present my portfolio and references for your review. After discussing design considerations, style options, room requirements and material preferences, I develop an overall plan which addresses your priorities, project requirements and lifestyle. You can expect creative and practical design solutions and clear periodic updates to facilitate your decision-making throughout the design process.
With your acceptance, my associate and I generate drawings and outline specifications to describe the space planning and interior design elements. We advise you of important details and consult with you to clarify preferences, modifying our drafts as appropriate.
We then prepare, for your approval, final construction drawings and documents that detail the requirements for the project. This includes selecting and developing specifications for items such as flooring, color schemes, architectural finishes, lighting, cabinets, custom built-ins, fireplaces, staircases, countertops, stone, plumbing, etc. I coordinate our efforts with the architect, contractor and subcontractors as needed to ensure good communication and also assist you during the construction of the project to monitor progress and quality.
We create furniture layout options for your review, feedback and approval.
As required, we visit the Denver Design Center and other showrooms and also share online resources to explore and identify options for interior furnishings, flooring, decorative lighting, fabrics, and wall and window treatments as applicable. Following research, design and selection of the various elements, my associates and I prepare and present pricing. We organize and provide procurement services through completed delivery, installation and inspection, following up with your final approval to secure successful results.
